Gravitate - Outdoor Chair
Gravitate is an outdoor chair designed to be used for relaxation. Once seated, the freedom one feels is on par to weightlessness! The highly functional chair has an adjustable belt allowing the user to recline or incline. The outdoor fabric is a client’s delight as it can be removed with ease, and simply replaced with another colour or pattern when desired.
Gravitate was my final piece for Furniture Design at RMIT. I wanted to design an outdoor chair that would be timeless in its design and quality; a chair that seamlessly integrates work and leisure. The rugged materials and replaceable components allow it to endure the harsh exterior conditions of Australia. The clean lines and simplistic form allow it to work in a multitude of locations in the contemporary home.
