CASS the Companion

A supportive device for young children on the Autism spectrum

CASS (Computer Assisted (Spectrum Disorder) Sensory System) is a supportive companion device designed for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) to help them understand emotions and support their development. It is currently in its development stages. Everything was designed and programmed by myself, Miles Taylor, for Interactive Systems Design at RMIT.

CASS also includes functions such as a teeth brushing timer which encourages children to brush their teeth for a full two minutes. The timer aims to motivate them to continue until they are met with a happy sound which rewards them.
